Travel and Visa

You must have a valid passport for air travel, and in some cases, you may need a visa. Please note that citizens of certain countries need a visa to enter Canada.

A draft invitation letter has been prepared here as a Word document. Please download this letter and modify as required. For example you might wish to include poster/talk information and you might want more or less personal information in the letter. When you have a draft letter ready, please send this letter as an attachment to an email directed to organizers@qip2016.org with the subject heading

"Request invitation letter"

and the body of the email stating the deadline for this letter to be received. The template for this letter is on file with Citizenship and Immigration Canada; hence presenting this letter should expedite issuing of a visa and entry into Canada.

CBSA Letter

Participants can click here to download a letter issued by CBSA. Please present it when you enter Canada as the letter states that the Canada Border Services Agency - International Events and Convention Services Program officially recognizes QIP 2016.
