Rump session

The rump session at QIP2015 will consist of both invited and submitted talks.

The Rump Session Program Committee spent many months debating who should have the honour of being an invited speaker at this year’s rump session. This year’s distinguished invited rump session speakers will be:

Daniel Gottesman
John Smolin

The Rump Session Program Committee will be accepting a limited number of humorous talks and conference announcements - all talks must be funny, no exceptions! Presentations will be at most 5 minutes long. Those who are hoping to submit a presentation must send their slides to qip2015rump@gmail.com by 11:59 PM on Wednesday the 14th of January.

The rump session will be held at the Manning Bar at the University of Sydney. It is a 20 minute walk from the Aerial Function Centre at UTS (the main conference venue). Alternately, you can take any bus travelling along Broadway that travels along Parramatta Road to the University of Sydney Footbridge stop (travel time: 5 minutes).
